January 23-24: Drone Pilot Certification Workshop (Madisonville, KY)
An intensive workshop to prepare candidates for the FAA's part 107 Drone Pilot Certification Exam
March 20: Drone Sprayer Training (Eddyville, KY)
This program is designed for agricultural professionals and producers to learn about the latest information on drone spray application, efficiency, and safety in a classroom setting.
April 10: Soil Properties Workshop (Richmond, KY)
We will examine soil pits with distinctly different profile properties to discuss how they will influence water and nutrient retention and delivery.
May 15: Crop Scouting Workshop (Princeton, KY)
Training is comprised of individual scouting sessions in the areas of disease, growth staging, weed identification, and soil nutrition. This is a beneficial workshop for new and experienced producers, agriculture interns as well as a great refresher for others.
June (TBD): Planter Clinic (Princeton, KY)
Evaluate and identify consequences on plant performance that resulted from improper planter settings.
June 16-17: Drone Pilot Certification Workshop (Madisonville, KY)
An intensive workshop to prepare candidates for the FAA's part 107 Drone Pilot Certification Exam
July 24: KY High School Crop Scouting Competition (Princeton, KY)
Teams of 4-6 students will compete in hands-on, interactive field scouting exercises related to corn, soybean and tobacco rotating through various stations.
August 28: Field Crop Pest Management and Spray Clinic (Princeton, KY)
A hands-on workshop that will cover spray technology, fungicide application, herbicide symptomology, insect pests and more.
